TEACHING
Steighner is available to teach
private lessons of 30 minutes or one hour. He welcomes
students of all levels, schedule permitting. Please email for
current rates and availability.
Steighner currently serves on the
faculty at Texas State University. For two years prior he was the
saxophone teaching assistant at The University of Texas at Austin. He
has also taught private lessons to students from Austin and San
Antonio for the last five years. He regularly adjudicates band
district auditions and solo contests and has been an instructor and chamber
music coach for the Bravissimo! Music and Arts Camp in Hood River, Ore., the
University of Puget Sound's Community Music Department in Tacoma, Wash., and the Longhorn
Music Camp in Austin, Texas.
